OUT COME THE WOLVES

Out Come The Wolves were formed during the summer of 2005. They released a demo in time for their first show, which was supporting Champion in Barcelona in October 2005. Then, they started to play shows all over the place with bands like Discarga, Cinder, The Defense etc. The band teamed up with Sell Our Souls Records to release their first 7″ in April 2006. The release show was amazing, together with Cinder, Dick Cheney, Justice and Underdog. After this, they started to play everywhere and last year they played a weekend tour around France. In 2007 they played a week-long tour together with Death Is Not Glamourous around Spain.

Their new 7″, titled “Oh no it’s OCTW again!”, will be released next 25th May. The song “420” was included on the first “European New Breed Compilation” released by the dutch label Pressure Release in time for Light The Fuse 2007. Just in time to support this new effort, they’re going out on their first European tour.

Out Come The Wolves are constantly displaying their raw and aggressive hardcore/punk, with and astouding and aggressive stage presence. If you like straight-up, honest and energetic hardcore, in the spirit of classics like DYS, Antidote and Negative Approach, you won’t be disappointed.

This week in Ebay: Shirts …

This week was an interesting one for shirts. Let’s get into it.

This week was an interesting one for shirts. Let’s get into it.

Unfortunately, I have heard whisperings that this one really isn’t OG. Most OG shirts were black with white ink. Maybe these people are wrong. Who knows?

How this one shot up to $91 is beyond me. Beyond me.

Two Bad Brains shirts. I was watching this lot when it somehow became a Buy It Now and was GONE. Yeap, gone. Someone won it right out from under my nose. Doh.

Last but not least …

Here’s a little DIY jacket. Yeap.

More Flyers and Stickers …

The other day went so well, and sparked such great discussion that I whipped out some more flyers and stickers. Enjoy.

DHU does it the best!

3 Band Bills Are The Best

The Swarm, Buried Alive and Bane. 3 bands. A festival of mirth and mosh. What more do you need? Of course, The Swarm didn’t make it. Reach The Sky played instead. Then Ian turned the show into a benefit for the Fallen Worcester Firefighters. Lots of raffling and stage diving for a good cause. 1999 was a good year.

The End Of An Era

National Edge Day

Words cannot describe how amazing this show was. Mosh.

Bane, The Sheist … FULL BLEED!

When Chachi printed up these flyers, he made sure to let me know about Full Bleed. You’ll notice no white borders. It’s black to the edges. Yeap, full bleed. He was very proud. The show was very long. But dope. Of course, The Sheist didn’t play this show. Ah Chachi. Best dude. 1998 stylee.

Before Fests, There were Shows with a Million Bands

Bane Stickers, A Little From Each Era

Enjoy the pics. Let me know if you any more requests for flyer or sticker pics. Peace.

JUSTICE “ESCAPADES” LP OUT NOW
It’s been out for a few weeks now and the first press is going fast. Powerful, mid-paced hardcore with one of the best sounding recordings in years. Solid as hell.

POLICE & THIEVES ON YOUNGBLOOD
We’re proud to welcome Washington D.C.’s POLICE & THIEVES to the label! They will be hitting the studio in mere days to record their debut EP on Youngblood. Look for this 7″ EP to release this summer. We will be working with Higher Conscience Records to release a CD which compiles the 2006 demo, the 7″ on Higher Conscience and the upcoming 7″ on Youngblood.

YOUNGBLOOD WELCOMES MIND ERASER
This was announced at the Youngblood 10 Year Anniversary show but we it’s such cool news that we have to announce it again. We will be releasing a 7″ from MIND ERASER. It’s an honor to be working with a Straight Edge band once again!

LIFES HALT “WE SOLD OUR SOULS” 7″ REPRESS
We’ve been promising to do this for a long time now and it will finally see the light of day (once more) this summer. The DAT has been dusted off and it’s off to be mastered for a second time. The original plates are no good (and the plant that originally pressed it up blows anyway) so the new issue of “We Sold Our Souls” should sound even better than the original.

NEW SITE IN THE WORKS
It’s long overdue but a new site is underway. It will boast a new design plus the band pages and discography will be finally up-to-date. We’ve gotten about a million emails asking for discography information so it’ll be good to get all the discography info up to date and available for all to see. Our online store will be getting an upgrade as well.

STILL HOT:
(YB-27) Justice “Escapades” LP

RECENTLY REPRESSED:
(YB-23) Iron Age “Constant Struggle” LP 2nd press 300 on black vinyl
(YB-26) Fired Up “When The Lights Go Out” 7″ 2nd press 300 on red vinyl

SOON:
(YB-28) Police & Thieves 7″/CD
(YB-29) Mind Eraser 7″

KINDA SOON:
(YB-25) Set To Explode 7″

Plus 2-3 more mind-blowing releases that are a little too far off to mention yet…

UPCOMING REPRESSINGS:
(YB-4) Lifes Halt We Sold Our Souls For Hardcore 7″ repress

Go check out Sean and Youngblood Records now!

Flyered/Stickered Memory Lane …

Last night, I was feverishly looking for some old stickers. I needed one for comparison. I couldn’t find an unstuck sticker, but I did find these.

A Promo For AJ’s Zine

A Long, Great Day Which I Missed

Did this show actually happen? It must have been 1998. It’s not on my list of shows though. I can’t imagine why I would have skipped a Worcester Bane show. I mean, I did see them the next night.

February 21th 1998 @Reflections New Bedford Mass: Get High, Lynchpin, All Chrome, and Bane (Bane’s 50 show, and 2 year anniversary)

Unless it was 1999. But I don’t know if Fragment was still playing in 1999. My records are pretty shotty for 1999 though. Sucky.

Memories of My Youth

So Much Beef

I had a little trade with Rev the other day. GI Joes for a Warzone on Clear!! Well, not really. More like banner space for shirts. Close enough, though. This In My Eyes sticker came along with the shirts. It was real odd looking. Check my comparison here.

In My Blurry Eyes

The original is metallic bronze, pretty crisp. The one rev sent was mustard yellow and seemed fuzzed out. A little bit of a bummer because I could use more of that “Nothing To Hide” sticker.

This Week in Hardcore – Ebay

Let’s see what the Wild World Of Ebay has to offer us today. Some gems, I’m sure.

First Up: What Feeds The Fire – Set Me Free test press. Yeap, a genuine test press. Check that red foil. Hot. This album came with about 400 different sleeve variations, but this one is likely the coolest.

Next: A piece of Bridge9 Records history, the Tenfold / Sum Of All Fears split EP. That’s Bridge9 #001 for those keeping track. Dope. Back when Chris was mailordering out of his house in CT.

Finally: The Legendary Judge Chung King. This was up last week, but was pulled “for issues.” Now it’s back. Let’s see if it can outdistance Sammy’s Chung King. No idea who owns #77. Rev doesn’t list the owner.

And in case you were sleeping, here is how a few New York Hardcore Together Comps ended.

Black vinyl: $113

Orange vinyl w/ Liberty (??) Stamp: $201 (reserve not met)

Orange vinyl w/ Bat Stamp: $305

Stay tuned for next weeks. We can talk about crucial shirts.

Make Or Break calling it quits …

Make Or Break, hailing from Florida, have decided to hang up their boots. It’s a shame really, as this band was pretty killer. They will definitely be missed.
